This year was unusual with the cap increase

July 03, 2017 12:38PM
There was an historic jump in the cap this year, literally a record increase. And it's going to take another huge leap next year, not a record but bigger than any other year. According to an article I read it's never gone up more than 8MIL in a year and it increased 24MIL this year and will increase 18MIL next year. The cap was 58MIL 5 seasons ago. It's been a crazy run for them, the TV money is huge and the sport is getting even more popular.

The NBA owners also have 42 games and if the team is good that's 20K fans 42 times a year buying stuff in the stadium.

And guess what. It costs about 40% less to go to an NBA game, and it's MORE fun to watch live than football.

Plus you may be able to share your fries with LeBron.

This won't happen in an NFL game

EDIT: The average value of an NBA team has more than tripled in the last 5 years.
