Owner/QB/GM/HC
Each of those things is either an asset or a liability or on the bubble. The Owner, GM and QB are more important to the team that the HC as far as I am concerned. So there is still some work for the Rams to do, or at least some growth and improvement that needs to occur.
We know the first is all about the coin. Liability
The second is still unknown but I think Snead is good and could get better but a lot of people disagree. Asset or on the bubble, we will find out
Goff should be a good QB. Asset or on the bubble, we will find out.
We have a rookie HC and the success rate for "hot coordinators" is 50-50 at best. Asset or on the bubble, we will find out.
By the way as you know I share your disdain for Demoff and didn't like him well before the slimy way he lied leading up to the move. I haven't liked him for a long time. But I don't think he is the de facto GM. He is a lizard and a snake, but he does a good job with contracts. I don't think he has the power Shaw had, StanK is a much different type than GeorgiaF and wouldn't let someone dictate to him the way Shaw did to Georgia.
I agree with a lot of what is said here, but, it looks to me like Demoff isn't doing the contracts anymore and is too busy with the move to LA stuff and working the LA issues in general (PR, stadium, etc).
And I am not sure the Rams ARE doing as well with contracts. An example: it would have cost less to sign Jenkins instead of tagging Tru twice plus spending 4,5 M in guaranteed money on Sensabaugh. Sensabaugh is probably on the coaches but the coaches wanted Jenkins. Jenkins felt he was being lowballed so just walked.
