As is becoming the norm, Vinny B gives actual intelligent insight into some Rams issues.
It is doubtful that the Rams can keep all 4 of Quinn, Donald, Ogletree and TruJ
Donald is a lock. They are not going to let him get away and they don't have to. They have him for the next 4 years whether he likes it or not.
Quinn's issue is health related. Unless he can play at least 15 of the 16 games, he is not going to be kept. He's as good as it gets on the edge as a rusher when he's healthy. But the Rams can't afford to pay that hefty of a salary to a guy who misses big blocks of time.
I'd say its a toss up between Ogletree and TruJ, however middle backers simply don't command the kind of coin that CBs do. So its going to be a lot easier to keep Ogletree than TruJ. On the other hand there's a reason elite CBs get paid so high; their impact is greater than any MLB/ILB.
The Rams have put the line in the sand. TruJ is going to have to play elite or he's not going to get a long term elite contract. And even then, the elite money may well not be with the Rams because you can only pay elite money to so many players....especially on only one side of the ball.
