Considering the conditions Goff was in, and considering how exceptionally green he was, my view is that if he showed talent that's a plus and if he was overwhelmed that's to be expected. I think he did show special traits in the middle of the mayhem. I think the mayhem leaves a lot murky. That in itself doesn't tell me anything (yet). My "we" was the fans...I don't know what the coaches think. For all I know they smile and say "way to go Jared!" and when he leaves the room they look at each other and make the silent finger across the throat gesture to each other and laugh. (And, in case someone reads that wrong...just joking, I doubt it.)



In terms of moving on, well, my best guess is that the personnel people are absolutely not excluding qb from their scouting during the season, but there's nothing the coaches can do about the future during the season except do their best with Goff/Mannion and then judge the results objectively.
