Well your view has Gurley himself being basically fine, just that things around him regressed. Different approach meant better results ("a lot more opportunity for quick reads" ).
I don;t argue against the idea that something went amiss with blocking, scheme, and the line in general in 2016 (note: that;'s several things going wrong at once).
But I see Gurley as himself contributing to the mess of 2016. In other words there can;'t be improvement overall in the run game unless he changes too from what he was and was doing in 2016. So that;'s several things going wrong at once,
including Gurley.
