I wonder.
If a bad team that usually drafts in the Top 10-15 make an offer for 2 #1s in consecutive years...would ya'll do it?
I'm curious.
AD is GREAT player, without a doubt...but sometimes a great player's production can be dispersed among other good/avg players...
and since this is a team game, they may be able to make up the difference in play....
and allow us to keep more of our team's "middle class".....so, it's not the haves & have-nots.
Of all positions, a high quality QB is one of those guys that's irreplaceable. imo
All others are replaceable if the price is right. imo
I know it's been noted that the Rams can stagger these upcoming contracts so that we can keep whom we want.
Anyway, I'm just wonderin cap strategy aloud...and the best way to game it for maximum team benefit.
Not me.
Teams generally devote about 50% of their cap to around 8-10 guys.
The question is, which is the better team---the one that has 2 A- level 10 M guys or the one that has 1 A+ level 20 M guy.
I would say that any defense fielding a DT of ADs caliber, he';s making things easier and better for those around him. There's reasons for that, and specifically reasons why an elite DT challenges offenses in ways other positions can't.
The old saying is, some defensive players, the offense has to account for every Sunday. Donald, they have to account for starting every Monday.
