So upset about all this. I absolutely loved the pick myself. I think he didn't develop because he was jerked around. First he had to move to LG and he seemingly played okay there. Then, due to injury he was forced to start at LT. He really never learned how to pass block so he did well on run plays and not well on pass plays. And what he did poorly is know who to block. Many times he blocked down on a DT and the DE ran free. He didn't recognize complicated NFL moves. He had no idea what to do against a 3-4. So it went badly. He reached out and got technique training. And he was better there but he still didn't know who to block and sometimes grabbed. He craven known as a holder and started getting flags even when he didn't earn them. This year they moved him to RT with a new offensive scheme and he fell behind. None of this makes him a bad kid. He is not a villain. He tried. But learning three new positions under new schemes in three years is tough. He's still very young and I hope he does well for the Lions. I am not giving up on him because he's wearing another uniform.
Raising the pitchforks and casting blame on him is unkind. Wishing GRob the best.
