For long term success, maybe it's better to gamble on QB

RG3 didn't work out, but if you hit on a qb they will be with your team - 4,5,6 years down the road and beyond. No matter how many draft picks you accumulate - most will be off your team or out of the league in 4 years or so.

That's why the Goff trade doesn't bother me even if he turns out to be a bust. You have to at least try. In recent years we've had a bunch of draft picks and no QB and what has it all amounted to?
