And if I'm Detroit, I switch him to DT. And I get him on the field in short yardage situations as a FB, too. I teach him how to run the ball up the gut at the goal line as well.
No downside to trying him at other positions, and I think he'd be a natural at DT, or crashing through the line of scrimmage on the other side, as a running back.
He's an elite athlete for his size. My dime-store guess is he has a learning disability, and that can be managed if you have enlightened coaches, staff, etc. OTOH, you can't teach elite athleticism. You have it or you don't. He does.
IMO, the Rams gave up on him too soon and weren't nearly creative/enlightened enough.
