The other question we can ask ourselves, is if Robinson was dealt with and coached properly from his time of arrival..
I think we're beyond this question now. Robinson the player has proven to be deficient. That's all on him.
There are too many questions about his mental deficiencies and his lack of work ethic to put any blame on anyone else.
I wasn't a fan of the coaching but he's too spectacular of a failure to look anywhere else but squarely at him.
No question about his personal deficiencies and because of them, he may have failed in any organization with any coaches. However, there is also a possibility that if he was handled differently from the get go, he cold have reached some of his potential and still be in LA.
Personally I wouldn't draft players I feel I need external motivation no matter how high the upside, and its obvious Robinson was one of those players. I was admittedly a guy that wanted to draft Robinson if they stayed at #2 (preferred a trade down with Buffalo at #8), but that's just from watching film. There is so much more I didn't know about him as an individual. Unfortunately we are not privy to that information.
Its all water under the bridge now anyway and time to move on. Good for the Rams cutting him loose, saving cap space and getting a 6th for him.
