They have had a 1. winning season, 2. entering the playoffs and nearly winning a WC game off the back of their 3. Offensive Player of the Year, RGIII (until he got injured in the game).
None of those 3 things could be claimed by the Rams. Everyone was right about him being a fragile running/pistol QB, but the Skins maximized his value it appears to me. Even if the trade has little to no bearing on teams *today*, the Skins seem to have cashed in a little more than the Rams have, when history is taken into account.
