Come on Jimmy I've known you over 20 years, you could never offend me this side of doing what 21 did at Herdfest West and dressing in 9er colors
I've had a cluster migraine for 2 days, just going into my 3rd day this morning.
I get them about once every year maybe 18 months and they bring me right down. The whole right hand side of my head and face hurts and is sore to touch.
I've had them since I was in my late teens and they suck as they can go on for several days and nothing shifts them.
This board is an amazing resource for Rams news and I cannot imagine not reading it, but posting just isn't the fun it was.
I'm not conflict averse (massive understatement!), but it seems like every other thread turns into a battle of wills between posters and whereas that has always been the case somewhat, it just seems there's more malice now and nothing like the amount of humor.
I should not have responded to you the way I did, I apologize. But it remains that I'm just not really bothered about posting any more.
I wasn't looking to make a grand exit, in fact I'm a bit embarrassed by that, just saying what was/is on my mind.
Tim, I once (in the last few years actually) had a migraine so bad that I ended up in the hospital on IV tranquilizers. My triggers are entirely physical. There are a lot of things I can't eat, and it's also seasonal---stuff in the air (spring) will have an effect. Fortunately for me, eletriptan works preventively so when I sense one coming on, I can take a 1/2 of one and it works. Anyway I experienced this enough so that I completely sympathize.
In terms of the board, everyone's taste is their own for what they like and don't like when it comes to that. I too like the humor and so on. For me it works better when people understand that there are just going to be different views on things and that that's okay---rather than the "so you don't GET that Hav will never succeed at guard?! what is WRONG WITH YOU" style. So I share that.
But it would be a loss to have you decrease your presence. You have to remember, just as you are looking for things that increase the pleasure of posting on the Rams, YOU YOURSELF are to many others one of the things that adds to THEIR pleasure reading the net. Just a thought.
