Yeah i think the Pats would find a way to use him
well the Rams did...2015. 9 TDS from scrimmage, 10 TDs overall.
The question now though is whether McVay wants THAT Tavon. The 2015 Tavon.
Or if he's in this frame of mind---either he's a receiver (ie a pure receiver) or we can't use him.
,
I doubt since in fact what happened in 2016 is that they DIDN'T use him the way they did in 2015. (Oh and I reject the idea that Tavon has a "limited skill set." He only does if you insist, against the evidence, upon judging him simply as a pure receiver.)
A simple look at the numbers tells you that. They run him less in 2016, and throw to him more.
Though of course every single offensive player except Britt (and possibly Donnal) backslid in 2016, which fits my view that multiple things went wrong in 2016 and (to make a remark on a separate topic from this one) that it's a mistake to act like just one cause lies behind at all.

Is it possible that the league has adjusted to Tavon's limited skill set?
I mean, the declining Tavon production might suggest that.
Has the league reduced Tavon to being a one trick pony?
