That is true. It's not as if Robinson was a "WTF..." pick... Both he and Jake Matthews were universally considered top 5-6 overall players in that draft. Very close in how they were graded/rated.
Matthews was seen as the one of the safest choices in the draft (46 college starts, NFL bloodlines, smart, etc.) but coming from a spread offense and only one year at LT. Mayock and others did make some comparisons of Robinson to guys like Orlando Pace and comments were about just needing to refine his technique. I leaned Matthews myself because I'd rather have had the day-one ready, safer choice there even if he was 'only' a RT in the end (he's not). He actually had a rough rookie year but the difference is he's made big strides in years 2 and 3 while Robinson stagnated.
