RFIP
Heard a replay of an interview from last week in which he choose his words very carefully regarding the current and future LT spot and the OL in general.
He acknowledged that Whitworth is the short term answer but can have a long term effect "with a guy like Roger Saffold who is in his prime and can learn how to play LT from a real pro like Whitworth..."
He went on to say that AW is an immediate big upgrade from last year and when asked about the rest of the OL he stammered like he always does (drives my nuts) and said "our OL coach said he wanted to see what he has in house because the draft class was not deep...and he wants a crack at making the in house group better..."
I found it odd that for as long as the interview was he only mentioned Saffold by name and seemed to indicate he was the one being groomed to play LT down the road.
Saffold may be plan Be at left tackle for now but they have signed a couple of kids, on in particular from San Diego State Kwayde Miller who very well could be the Rams left tackle when Whitworth retires or leaves.
