we had connecting flights to California... he was on the way to Sacramento and I was on the way to San Jose thus we were camped out at the same airport terminal.
I looked at him walking up to the terminal and recognized him.... "Dude! Mike Jones The tackle!!!"
very nice man who was very approachable...we chatted awhile about Rams football, Warner's benching, airline food, and his community work in Sacto.
He autographed his business card for me, on the back of his business card is a photo of the tackle... I asked for 2 cards so I could give one to my brother....
It was a long time ago, but I remember a stranger walking up to us while he signed the business cards for me and the stranger asked him "Are you someone famous?" ...
Too funny. Incredible....
In regards to the tackle itself......I watched the game at home with the family and a long time friend who is a big Rams fan. My buddy would come over every Sunday to watch Rams games on Sunday ticket and before that we would meet at sports bars watching games back to the days in LA.
High fives and hugs for everyone... incredible moment for Ram fans everywhere.......
In addition to recording the game on my VCR, I recorded the audio of the radio broadcast on cassette tape.....I was so excited of the Bruce TD pass that I accidentally erased part of the broad cast call on that play.
The week before we had a party at the house during the Tampa Bay game... that too was a pressure cooker, to me even moreso than the Super Bowl....
Go Rams!
