I didn't see it...

not live, anyway. I was a quivering bowl of jello wallowing in a mud puddle.

I've mentioned that before... but not this next:

I'm positive that my listening on the radio, pacing up and down in a rain storm, completely befuddles most people.. it gets worse.

I wouldn't except it... I don't know how long it was before I accepted that they had won the game but I can say it was long after the final whistle... I KNEW there was going to be a late yellow flag... like 5 minutes late. I wouldn't even rise from the mud... I was waiting for those demonic words from the announcer, "Wait a minute folks, the officials are meeting on the field... something is going on"....

Even after they went to commercial, (a LONG time after the victory), I was nearly catatonic knowing they'd come back from commercial saying, "They are awarding the Titans one more play".

Something was going to go wrong - something HAD to go wrong.

By the time I realized it was over, really over, officially over... I was spent. Exactly like a marathon runner who burns every single drop of energy to get across the finish line and then collapses on the track quickly rushed to by paramedics... only I had no paramedics nearby. Only an owl, or two, in the treetops hooting, "Serves him right, the @#@%@#@, I was trying to get some sleep".
