I googled Jake Eldrenkamp, and per a Lions Fan Site, Detroit brass bought Jake dinner just before Washington Husky Pro Day in Seattle. Eldrenkamp is a local Puget Sound kid who was recruited out of local HS powerhouse, the Bellevue Wolverines. He apparently was a real scholar and must have some family connections or something because it was reported that "he has pending six-figure offers from the business world, but is focussing on pursuing a Pro Football career." Also there is some good tape on him versus Arizona in Tucson where he shone and pancaked one guy into the bedrock. Also there was the Stanford-Washington game tape from Seattle last year where the focus was on Cardinal DE stud Solomon Thomas....anyhoo, watching Eldrenkamp, No. 52 in purple working against Solomon's trench-buddy, a DT named Watkins.....well, in this Husky blowout where they beat Stanford by like 30 points, Jake Eldrenkamp folded up Mr. Watkins, placed him into an envelope and mailed him back to Palo Alto!!!!

In short, the 6-4 306 lb Eldrenkamp passed the eyeball test for this Los Ramos fan since 1967 I can tells ya! Good UDFA signing IMO
