I'm not calling the 2015 OL group all abject failures already. I'm point out the obvious, which is the picker's utter lack of success drafting said position. And the fact nobody from 2015 looks very impressive so far is absolute reason to believe you shouldn't count on it happening, but you are and nobody is obviously going to change that. Doesn't matter how many times slapped in the face, it's just please may I have another.
Your first point was that they are already failures. It was stated in past tense.
Your second one I do believe has merit. But it's too soon to conclude that the recent 2015 haul are failures for several reasons. Same with GRob at RT or RG.
One Kromer/McVay/La Fleur are all fresh eyes and didn't pound the table for new bodies. That tells ME something.
Secondly, some of the 2015 haul looked decent to good in their rookie seasons. And then a new OC with a new scheme change was brought in and the entire offense, including the OL, looked horrible. That tells ME something too.
When every player is bad, or performances decline across the board, that's when you look beyond individual players. That's usually a sign of a broader problem. In this case, it points to coaching/scheme.
Third, the research that I've done shows that historically OL breakout around their third year. So IMO it's unwise to pull the plug on a whole crop of two year OL. Given that Kromer/McVay/La Fleur agree with that assessment is comforting. Playing it cool for one more year seems a much better option to me than surrendering to the rabid, panicky, and flawed short term thinking type of decision making that most fans fall prey to.
