Either the Rams really didn't like the interior OL options at each of their picks...
OR, the Rams like their current OL roster a helluva lot more than many of their fans do.
My guess?
Kromer sees possibilities that we're not seeing. He's been known to convert OG's to C successfully before, too.
Plus there's the UDFA pool opportunities.
Finally, there's the final roster cut opportunities as a last resort.
Clearly, the Ram brain trust preferred other options at #37 and at every pick thereafter.
So, once again the pros see things differently than the fans.
First off if they felt they needed help on the OL they would have moved up or down in the draft and gotten help like they did 2 years ago.
It's apparent that they, and I'm assuming that McVay is relying heavily on his assistant coaches here, believe they can get the job done with the current roster. Well, it's either that or McVay told them to make due, which is hard to accept.
We will see soon enough how good they are at evaluation their personal. Problem is, if they are wrong and the OL looks like last years, it''s gonna get very ugly. They gave themselves no buffer in this draft.
You're reinforcing my case, max.
