No trying to start a fight.....I have no idea about this guy at all.
But when I see guys like Mayock and Boylehart say that Everett could be a Pro-Bowl player sooner than later, why the doom and gloom?
And, for those who say "Lamp was a 1st round guy". Apparently not. He may have been the top of a weak OL class but that doesn't make a guy a 1st rounder. 32 team GMs determined he was NOT a 1st round guy, since he was taken in the 2nd round. About 35 guys were considered better than him. All those ratings of where guys will go are media gurus, not NFL GMs.
Lamp, according to the NFL decision makers, was a 2nd round guy. And while I would have been quite happy with Lamp as our choice, nobody knows how this is all going to play out with taking Everett instead.
I understand having favorite guys, and even having different opinions about what our priorities ought to be.
My priority was offensive skill players. The Rams used their top 2 picks on offensive skill players and then a 4th on another WR that some say could turn out to be the steal of the draft.
I'm happy with the strategy, and have little choice but to assume that the picks will live up to their billing.
But the reality is that a high percentage of all of these picks, for all teams, won't make it. But the Rams are now knee deep in young, various kinds, of WRs.
And the Rams have a ton of young players already who are still early in the development stage.
So what happens is anyone's guess.
