There are circumstances every year for every team. Yes, some are worse than others, but I for one cannot deny that the offense was pitiful the last two years and I dare say that it still would have been pitiful without the "circumstances."
Very inexperienced line that then got extensively injured on top of it, one qb who melted down (in that period he put up about the worst numbers of any Rams qb ever), and then a #2 qb who played over his head some.
And of course, I mean an unusual set of bad circumstances that most teams don't face...in fact it';s rare in NFL history.
Either way you missed the point. Because the circumstances made things so bad, and brought the team down so much, some people don't see they in fact can be better on offense---without changing anything.
They will add offensive talent. But the problem was not across the board talent deficiency. In fact there was no "one thing" that did it. It was just not that simple.
