I wonder if this is a possibility?

I was listening to Bill Polian yesterday talk about the gentlemen's agreements when it comes to trades.

He said that when you trade up the team you're trading with will normally tell you who else is looking and what they are offering and who they were going to pick.

Whomever was on with said, 'yeh but they could lie'

And Polian said, 'not if they ever want to trade with that team again'.

I wonder if maybe Lynch got cute and a little too economical with the truth and alluded to another trade that wasn't really very likely.

If he did I bet it will get out.

I don't see any situation in which the Bears just gave up all those picks on a wing and a prayer, but who knows, people panic under pressure.
