According to the velo data available anyway. It's tricky though because it's not as simple as saying there is an official velocity at which a QB throws and that's it. Used to be that Ourlads was the only source that published QB velo numbers from the Combine (and I think some private workouts) but other sources appear to be getting into the act now.
This is from CBS Sports this yearOurlads apparently began measuring left and right throws this year and there is a variance between them for virtually all QB's. So, what does it mean when a QB throws with different velocities left, right and middle? With any luck, the NFL will do something similar to what MLB is doing with Statcast and will be able to track the speed of a number of variables relevant to any given play or drill in order to get a more complete qualitative performance picture rather than a rather one dimensional "stat" that might tell us something, but probably not nearly as much what most people actually think it does.
