To throw an object of the same dimensions, shape, mass and material through the same medium (air) at the same relative pressure and water vapor content and over a surface with the same gravitational force, and to calculate distance and time from leaving the object propelling it to the time it arrives is completely calculated by the velocity of the object. This is why the impact of guns is measured in velocity plus the mass of the slug.
Velocity exactly equals arm strength in football. There is no other possible measurement. And arm strength is precisely what generates velocity. And by arm strength in the NFL we simply mean speed of the ball.
