Costs 6.7+ M against the cap to keep. Costs the same to cut.
If traded acquiring teams pays the salary (not the prorated bonus) so that would mean 3.3+ M in cap savings.
I am not saying do it, just looking at the numbers. Unless he steps up all of this is admittedly possible.
