These comparisons are the worst sort of Journalistic fiction

Goofy. Just plain goofy.

No one knows how these guys will turn out or play like. To compare any of these rookies with vets in any kind of serious way is nonsense. And what happens too often is that fans buy in to it, and then expect that rookie to be a reincarnation of that vet player. And when he's not, he's a bust.
