adam shaheen?
think one of y'all noted him somewhere else, too
now listed in cbs top 5
remain a fan of Leggett. for some reason in thought the Clemson played more inline blocking than he probably did.
and there are trends where he just wasn't targeted.
as big a fan as I am of college football, clearly haven't seen enough of any of these tight ends to be informed.
Because I still prefer actual TEs if I'm spending a high pick on the position, not just somewhat big bodied guys that aren't played as the X or Z in most formations. I think NFL teams are adjusting to the lighter movement guys and I'd rather Zig while the rest of the league is Zagging.
I do like Leggett because he is at least a legit H-back. I also felt he deserved more targets and think he is a matchup problem as a receiver because he has some actual bulk to go with his movement skills. I have him as a negative inline blocker and would even like to see him improve in space. He has the size and body type to be very effective in that role.
I have Shaheen as +Top 60 Tier. So a first target after Top 20 tier guys if he's a position of need. Level of competition is the only thing keeping him from Top 20 for me. OJ Howard is my #1 TE but his lack of use in the passing game (talk about deserving more targets!!) leaves almost as many questions as Shaheen's level of competition.
