I don't see Wichmann as much as a "candidate" as I do an insurance policy. I like him and I'd like him active every game day, starting or not. And if not if he can play both guard and (in a pinch) center then all the better.
At this point I would sign Sullivan for one year, draft a center somewhere between the 3rd and 6th rounds, and get Wichmann's feet wet (enough) snapping the ball. Then in 2018 they either feel the center they drafted can start or they dip back into free agency or higher in the draft there.
