A DC that can't maximize the potential of a transcendent player like AD or a healthy R.Quinn should never be on the payroll. Once upon a time the Rams lost their best defensive player, in favor of a scheme that a new DC preferred. The player went on to a team that maximized his potential and ended up in the hall of fame but the DC never did much, the defense floundered and he was soon fired. I am not hating on Wade, I am trying to give everyone a chance. The Rams however had one of the most feared front 7's in the NFL for the last few years (I know it didn't help in the win column but I prefer to lay that at the feet of the offense). I am not sure how our personnel matches up as a 3-4 (especially our only 2 transcendent (can play on any team) players). I am going to give the Son of Bum his chance but I would be lying if I didn't say there is a little bit of worry.
The Rams have been a good 4-3 the last few years despite their win / loss record and it is like Wade immediately disregarded the 4-3 for his 3-4. My concern is the players on the Defense were drafted to fit a 4-3.
We shall see.
