There are 3/4 defenses in the league which play a 3-tech DT on the right side instead of a traditional 3/4 DE. Arizona did it with Calais Campbell for example.
Campbell is not a dedicated 3-tech in their scheme. There are times when he plays their in their sink or Bear front and he rushes from there in nickle, kind of, but that's not what a 3-tech DT is.. and teams don't play "a 3-tech DT on the right side instead of a traditional 3/4 DE" right and left has nothing to do with what a 3-tech is.
Cambell in the 3-4 one gap base or when they went 4-3 was on the shade of the center as much as anything. But moved around, sometimes a 5-tech...but versus Rams they do the Bear or "sink" 3-4 a lot, to stop Gurley
A better Zona example would have been Darnell Dockett who was a 3-tech when they were 4-3 but when they moved to the hybrid 3-4 Dockett stayed as a 3-tch, usally, and was not a 3-4 DE. That's what made it the hybrid 3-4 they went to whenever that was, maybe 8-9 years ago.
