Rams can't possibly advance strictly on FA pickups and new draftees. They need the 2nd and 3rd year guys to come on.
The Rams need to get something out of Cooper, Spruce and Higbee.
They need Gurley to be the monster he can be.
They need Goff to progress to where he looks like he belongs.
They need some of their young Olinemen to get better.
They need Austin to reach his potential game breaking ability.
They need some of the young secondary players to get better and more disciplined.
Don't know who will and who won't. But, if half of these guys take a typical development step for young players, and with an HC, OC, and QB coach that understands and have run modern NFL offenses and bring a level of offensive aggression we haven't seen here in a long time, there is hope that this team can give Seattle and Arizona a run for their money for this division and at least be honestly entertaining to watch.
I'd rather they lose games 31-28 than 15 - 6.
