He's a C, not a franchise starting QB, after all. Probably a middle of the pack talent, at that. Unless Kromer could work some magic, somehow.
I'm trying to put this in perspective, here.
Our '17 season doesn't hinge on whether we get Groy. It does hinge, in part, upon getting an upgrade at C. Groy was merely their first attempt at upgrading the C position, but it certainly won't be their last.
To be realistic, today is only Mar 18th. We've got almost 6 full months to come up with a good C. We've got an outstanding OL coach and a new HC that seems to fully grasp the importance of a strong OL, including C. There is every reason to expect that they will address this hole.
