Yep but the higher the draft pick the more important it becomes.
The Robinson #2 pick in the draft is the biggest headscratcher that I can remember. 1st round flyer is a disaster. 2nd round is bad. I don't mind it as much if you get down in those lower rounds and you pick somebody with physical talent but has unknowns and maybe a hole in the game (taking that chance).
Another trade down was set up perfectly. The class had better offensive lineman taken later and a whole lot of quality WRs. With the #2 pick in the draft, the Rams could have probably got another 1st rounder or a combination of 2nd and 3rd rounders and gotten a much better player that could play well right away.
