I agree that McVay wants nothiing to do what that brand. He will let everyone talk about how young HE is. But....he is clearly expecting this team to show marked improvement on day 1.
Not saying what he is doing will work....but I at least appreciate his effort to stop carpet-bombing Ram fans with excuses. He knows the players hear the same thing....and he doesn't want to give them an out.
There seems to be more of sense of accountability that was never really there with Fisher.
Great line.
Anyway, like I've said before, I really like the moves that have been made thus far. Maybe we'll still land Groy in a trade. I have this feeling that this team is going to look SO DIFFERENT than what we've seen the last 5 years. The offense will be much more dynamic, and actually look like a modern NFL offense, and I think the defense will be much more disciplined.
Will this equate to more wins? Yes, improving on 4 wins shouldn't be that much of a challenge, but how much improvement? Even without seeing our 2017 schedule, or seeing how the draft and training camp shakes out, I think we can expect at least 8 wins. It remains to be seen how good of an NFL HC McVay is or will be, but I'm excited to find out.
