These older Vet FA signings tell me that McVay wants to win now as opposed to "next year" Fisher who reveled in always having the youngest team in the league excuse to fall back on.
Rams don't have the skill players on O to go too far and QB is still a big question mark.
But this team ought to be able to do much better than any of the Fisher years. If for no other reason than they have an intent to have some offensive football.
Agreed, Rock.
McVay clearly expects to win games this year.
Holes are not only being filled, but filled with upgrades. Some of them dramatic upgrades.
The D might not be that far from competitive, already. Give Wade another player or two and we're in business there.
ST will be around top 5, I think.
So, as everybody knows, it will come down to progress on the O.
I foresee a big step forward for the OL.
Woods is a nice get, but I expect another WR added via draft.
TE is likely gonna be a high draft pick.
C will be "fixed" by opening day, one way or another. Bank it.
So, if Goff develops, we should see a dramatic improvement over that sorry '16 O. Not saying much, I know, but still.
I do like Goff's chances for improvement with this coaching staff, improved OL, improved WR, and upgraded TE corps.
