So what they do in the interim is get the right type veterans to lay the foundation moving forward.
They know they are not ready to win now. Be competitive yes, but really make noise, no.

I agree to an extent with your being competitive assessment and maybe, that is all we can really hope for but honestly the ultimate goal is to be a winning team and when I say that then I'm saying 9, 10 or more wins and a playoff game.
They needed to restructure their offense and they have been forced to change their defense but there is talent on this roster on both sides of the line of scrimmage.
Most importantly is they need to some how really raise the bar on the play of the offensive line to what it should have been if everything was right last season. Not the abortion we were all witness too.
If they can do that. They will be competitive and more.
