My assumption with letting BC walk was they didn't want to pay a backup RB $2M+. But then Dunbar just got $3M. So has to be a fit/scheme thing.
But if Gurley went down for 2-3 games I'd feel OK starting Cunningham. That's not what Dunbar seems to be. Right now Malcolm Brown and Aaron Green are probably fighting for the true backup RB job.
