I've heard the various excuses/reasons of why Pryor didn't get the long term deal that many of us expected, but for him to only get enough attention to settle for a one year 8 MIL (bet on himself deal) is a bit of a shocker for me.
I expected the Browns to resign him for at least something close to 4 years 40 million or another team desperate for a WR to maybe offer a little bit more.
I still wish the Rams would've reached out to him....
It seems very strange that the Browns and Skins were the only teams willing to pay him any kind of respectable money. Maybe there were a few others but until we hear more intel this is a F/A contract that I never expected to happen..
Well, he didn't switch to WR until 2015. He basically has 1 full year at the WR position. That would explain the ambiguity or lack of interest from other teams. He's a tremendous athlete and a true "football" player. If he stays healthy, I see more 1000 yard seasons in his future.
