The problem here is that the Rams have made it abundantly clear that they'd rather not have TruJ on the roster.
Their intention from the beginning of FA was to move him. They paid him to trade him. That was their master plan. Did they misjudge his market value? If so, who is responsible for the miscalculation?
We can cast aspersions on Lombardi all we want, and he may indeed be holding a grudge on the Rams, but that doesn't get Snead/Demoff off the hook. I think they will look foolish, comical in Lombard's words, would be appropriate if they can't move TruJ for at least a 3rd round pick.
And then consider what holding onto him even if they get a 3rd cost them. They may have had enough to sign Garcon.
