Arkansas Ram
Doesn't seem to me to be a fit in Wade's defense. Expensive for a 3rd down lb'er, if that.
Any ideas on where he would fit in?
Wouldn't it be grand to package him and Tru to Cleveland for that Houston #2 and ????, with more cap space to boot.
On paper only, color me excited about this season.
Anyways,
Go Rams
Don't think he is going to be just a 3rd down LB, if he was they would have already cut or traded him....Wade will utilize his hybrid type physicality to perfection. You could move him all over in this defense.
Last year I got lucky with some field passes and was shocked how big Barron was up close and in person...dude is a freak.
They have already mentioned Barron as an inside LB and did so after having a chance to see film.
In Wade's 3/4 you don't need big thumpers at ILB. In fact if you look at Wade's defenses in Denver, he had a 240 ILB next to a lighter ILB.
Given that there has been a lot of good speculation that he could be serving the same role Deone Bucannon does in Arizona. DB is a converted safety playing ILB at 216 pounds. Barron could play a similar role.
We don;t know yet if they will stick with this but they have talked up both Ogletree and Barron as inside LBs.
