he's never struck me as someone who can go backwards and cover. His body seems like a "forward only" kind, and no matter how you slice it, even in a one-gap 3-4 sometimes the WILL has to drop, and do a good job. Peppers was college hoops player, different kind of body.
Not saying he can't but there is reason to not be sure until we see it.
Yes this was part of my concern. Never playing "up" in the NFL is another concern, and does he WANT TO play OLB is another concern.
For all we know he (and his agent) might. E working behind the scenes to try and get to a 4-3 team.
It's just as likely that he's excited to be playing "up" for a Wade Phillips, RFIP.
Might do wonders for his back.
And let's face it. Players tend to look good in Wade's D's. Top players tend to look phenomenal. And then there's the fact that they tend to win ballgames.
