in terms of sneads comments...i normally agree with you. however in this case the comments about barron were unsolicited. in other words, he was not asked about barron but rather it came out in the conversation. i founf that more meaningful. that being said, it may mean nothing....

Have to 2nd you on this. Snead to me was communicating (admittedly early) enthusiasm he was hearing from the coaches. He wasn't just promoting the product.

AND both Snead and McVay HAVE BEEN cautious and/or restrained to this point in how they talk about certain players, including for example Robinson. It is actually kind of rare that they have just PRed guys.

On top of it, not only does no GM come out and echo what angry and critical fans say about them--in fact that would be considered not doing your job (no GM says "fan x on the message boards is right, I suck" )---BUT also whether or not Snead has a lot of awful sins to confess is entirely a matter of opinion.

Some fans are saying they think he has not done well. Some are saying no it's a lot better than that.

So I am not sure which fan opinion of him he is supposed to be echoing in public.
