Ferragamo's numbers from 1980-83 were actually very good. He not only set team single season records in 1980 (yards, completion % and TDs) and 1983 (yards again) but overall over those years he was 7th in the league in QB Rating (81.4- very good for those years; Montana was the only QB above 90), 6th in YPA, 3rd in TD%, and 8th in completion %.
He fell off a cliff in 1984 (why I'm not sure) and was awful in Buffalo in 1985. But in the early '80s he was very good.
