I don't think the Cowboys are the only team to beat. over the past decade and a half, the Patriots have been the team to beat.... in 2016 both Carolina and the Broncos were also the teams to beat.... and a lot of teams beat Carolina.
For some reason the Chiefs are always the team to beat too .... until the playoffs, then they are the team that always gets beat.
So yes in 2017 the Cowboys are the team to beat..... but so are:
the Patriots
the Falcons
the Broncos
the Chiefs
And ... the Raiders.
