every year is an amazing trek of players you draft guys offer up that make for such fun.

sometimes I'm happy that I know a few, and feel great when they play as well as I perceive them to be. Sterling Sharpe comes to mind.
I've been on the sad side of that, too. Nothing reminds me more of that than Mardy Gilyard.

the number of players with great talent that fall through the cracks astonishes every year, too.
this year appears to be no different. remember so well that when they took Higbee. I had some real leanings toward guys like Jatavis Brown and KJ Dillon both guys that were prospects you guys came up with.

Add in that David Morgan the tight end, sure looked terrific. And I felt he'd be a fit for us.

this year will be no different.
btw, I am curious to see how some of our second year guys do with a full off season.
Marqui Christian is one of them.

some guys I have my eyes on......

Jake Butt; smart guy, won't be ready to play for a long while. coming to the combine for interviews. think he falls a long way.

Vince Biegel LB. another smart player, and would be a good add later on. a find by you guys, but hard to ignore

Jon Toth center. very teachable, imo. just how long does he last, and can he start? again, you guys find this kid, and we need talent at center. BAD.

Fred Ross WR. here's a kid that is totally the draft guys here that pointed out he could succeed in a big way.

Ben Boulware LB. not going to be a combine killer, but much like Bryce Hager, a footballer. like guys like him.

Adam Bisnowaty OT curious to see just how stinky the entire ot class may be. someone, one of these guys is going to be a player that lasts on Sunday. That won't all be dirt eaters? or will they.

Samaje Perine RB. an interesting class of RBs. I see James Connor as being a real target for us. Cunningham is a free agent. Bennie could find work on a playoff team, and may just want that.

Appreciate the compliment but really appreciate you remembering/recognizing some of those lesser names that get uncovered here well before the media types "discover" them. It's easy to pick apart the bigger names we get wrong (and a small few like to focus on those mistakes) but it's tough for many to remember the lesser known guys we get right. Those are the guys I enjoy finding.

You seem to want "football players". I can never argue that logic. The guys you like will build your foundation.

- Agree about Butt falling. I don't think the combine would've helped him much anyway though. He wouldn't test well vs some of the freaks that will perform. He was good in a system that does a good job featuring TEs. He can do the same in the NFL, but he won't be a matchup nightmare type.

- Vince Biegel fits for a "just do your job" style team. + guy vs the run though. Gives a little pass rush. Uses his length to his advantage well. Might be a - in pass coverage. His drop his clumsy.

- Agree, Ben Boulware is a film eater. I will watch more but my original look makes me think you want guys like him on your team even though they can be exploited by some matchups.

- I'm thinking Adam Bisnowaty does little to help himself at the combine. Not a bad player, just needs work on his balance/feet...and even then his feet will never be quick. He will look better when actually in a camp.

Erik Magnuson, Michigan is a guy that didn't get an invite and I'm surprised. A versatile player like him can be pure gold for a team. RT/OG/C. Calm in the chaos. Wins in short yardage. Stays in front of pass rush moves.

- Samaje Perine has a throwback feel to him. FB/RB type that is one of the better inside runners this year. Not just because of his bulk either, very good vision and patience. Don't think he has the speed to get you chunk plays. Won't give you everything Cunningham does.
