Its just been a school of thought in the NFL for so long regarding protecting the qb's blindside, because the best pass rusher historically lined up to that side.
That is no longer the case and hasn't been for years. Look at guys like Von Miller or Justin Houston.
I was talking to someone SB week that said you build a team with a qb then you get people to knock them down.
So if you know that is the thought process you gotta have protection.
Look at Conklin RT with Tenny, that dude is a STUD!! Best RT in the league IMO and a top 5 talent
I don't care what position a player plays
that close to the ball, if I have him rated high I'm taking him wherever.
The Rams could have had Zach Martin using that philosophy and been in much better shape!
