the premise of the OP is Tavon as a 3rd down back, 10 TDs or not, it isn't a good argument. unless it is 3rd and goal from the 1 ...then it isn't a 3rd down back's job to score a TDs, I don't think Tavon is a 3rd down back.

Now if you want to say that Tavon is more valuable than many think he is ... because of the multiple ways he can score and the relatively high number of TDs he scores, then you have a valid argument.
