The Rams had 7 WRs on their 53-man roster to start the 2016 season, the Redskins had 6. I know September is a long way away but the Rams will probably keep 6 or 7 WRs to start the 2017 season.
I just don't see the Rams dropping 6 WRs from last year's roster and then adding 3 or 4 new faces. I figure they'll keep Britt or Quick. They'll keep Austin, too. Only 1 of the other 6 will stick? Are there that many FA WRs that want to play for the Rams? Is this the unit where the Rams need to spend their draft picks? I guess we'll see ...
Fair enough, AlbaNY.
We just see this one differently, I guess.
I will be stunned if they don't bring in at LEAST 3 new WR's that stick to upgrade this sorry lot. The '16 worst in the league by quite a margin, btw.
Like I said before, if Britt is extended he would count as a FA addition in my calculus.
Barring a miracle where the new staff lights the fire under these apparent jags, it could even be 4 new faces, the more I think about it. Even if Britt is extended and we're stuck with Austin, I could see possibly 4 other new faces in that WR room if these current guys fail to impress the new staff. There are no "must haves" on this WR roster, imo. I can't overstate how much more demanding I expect this new staff to be compared to last year's country club environment.
These players are gonna find out PDQ that they're not in Kansas, anymore. Lol.
