We have a new offensive system and new offensive coaches... will we bring in a new backup QB??? I would assume that Keenum is out and Mannion remains. Though he seems like a great guy I don't personally want to see Case Keenum back in horns.
I didn't take the time to see if these guys are under contract but would McVay look to bring Colt McCoy, or Olson bring Chad Henne, or LaFleur bring Matt Schaub?
I think having a "veteran" would make more sense than drafting a 3rd QB in the middle or late rounds.
What say you HERD on the topic of back up QB to support our young franchise QB Jared Goff?
Good question, Saban.
I'm gonna trust McVay and his O coaches on this one. Maybe they will love Mannion. But maybe they won't.
My guess is that Keenum will be on another roster. Beyond that, who knows what direction they might choose for our QB backup(s)?
